Kitty Doralea Estella Douglas
Kitty Doralea Estella Douglas was born on her grandma Rose and grandpa Jake’s wedding anniversary on December 20, 2001 to Nora Brown and Raymond Douglas, Jr. in Nome, Alaska.
Kitty attended the White Mountain school for most of her life, with brief stays in Koyuk and Nome.
Kitty graduated from the White Mountain school in May 2019. During her high school years she enjoyed basketball, NYO and volleyball. Kitty had a competitive spirit and gave every challenge or sport her very best effort.
While home, Kitty loved boating, swimming, fishing, hunting, berry picking and subsisting to share with Elders and family. She also loved animals, especially dogs, and felt compassion for every living being.
Kitty moved to Anchorage in November 2020 to join the Alaska Military Youth Academy. She adored art, drawing, writing poetry, being with friends, listening to music, watching movies, enjoying good foods, and having heartfelt conversations that could last until the morning hours.
Kitty was honest, outspoken and had no filter with what she said and spoke up if she saw any injustices around her. Kitty had an adventurous spirit, going to new places and meeting new people. Kitty loved babysitting her many nieces and nephews and had fun spending time with them. She was a fiercely loyal and caring friend and never hesitated to give a helping hand.
Kitty lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Kitty is survived by her grandmother Rose, father Raymond Douglas, Jr., mother Nora Brown, sisters Jessica, Leslie, Venessa, Eva, Clara and Cecelia; brothers Clyde, Raymond III, and Samuel; countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
