Francis Paul Ray Ivanoff
Francis Paul Ray Ivanoff was born to Loretta Ivanoff and “Nicky” Nick on September 11, 1985 at old ANMC in Anchorage, AK. He was Amouk’s pride and joy, after coming home from the hospital.
Francis grew up in Unalakleet under the care of his grandparents Harris Sr. and Ebba, who later ended up adopting him.
He went to school at Unalakleet Schools until his third grade and went back his sixth-grade year until his junior year of high school. For his last year of school he transferred to and graduated from Galena High School in 2005. Later on that year, he was the proudest uncle to his first nephew “Buddy” Earl.
Francis loved his children, he was the happiest when his first-born, Tristan Michael James came into this world who he named after one of his best friends. Then Kianna Marie, Cassie Ava Rae and Jordan Axel came along. His kids were his world and “stars” as he said. In the last few years, he has stepped up and loved his companion, Ethel’s kids as his own.
He worked numerous jobs throughout his life from being a processor to mechanic with NSSP. He also worked with City of Unalakleet.
Fran had a way with the kids in his family, who just like papa gave a nickname for each kid. He gave all his nephews and nieces from Earl to Ella a nickname that started with B.
We all know he was a die-hard Patriots fan, everywhere you saw him he’d be wearing “his” team with pride.
Francis is preceded in death by his grandparents Harris and Ebba Ivanoff.
Francis is survived by his children Tristan, Kianna, Cassie, and Jordan; sister Elizabeth” Sunshine”, mother Loretta; his brothers Anthony Nick, Harris Jr, David, Francis “Wes” and Samuel Ivanoff; his most favorite Auntie Liz Nielsen and his companion Ethel as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Francis will be greatly missed. Peace to his memory.
