Ethel Sarah “Aloonaq” Lucas
Ethel Sarah Lucas was born on April 2, 1946 her biological parents Lewis and Lizzie Nakarak. When she was three days old they dog teamed Ethel to her adoptive parents Enoch and Judith Moses in Elim. She went peacefully to be with the Lord on August 13, 2016 with Ebba Jackson, Buddy and Loretta Hattie by her side.
Ethel worked various jobs throughout her life. In 1993 she married Harold Lucas. She and Harold loved living a subsistence lifestyle at Moses Point Fish Camp. Her favorite pastimes were writing a daily journal, knitting, fishing and camping. She was Granny to everyone.
Our beloved Ethel is survived by son Wayne Moses and Janice Rookok; daughter Judith and Eric Daniels; grandchildren April Jewell, Dallas, Benjamin, Angela, Julian, Derek, April, Branden, Eric Jr. “Audie” and Henry; great grandchildren Evangeline, Neena, Rhonda, Jalen, Benny, Cayli, Riyli, Jaeda and Kendra; biological brothers and sisters Jerry, Percy and Charlene, Rena; sister-in-law Ruth Moses; step sons Greg and Kent Lucas; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Ethel is preceded in death by her husband Harold Lucas, adoptive parents Enoch and Judith Moses, biological parents Lewis and Lizzie Nakarak; brothers and sisters Mischa Moses, Florence Anagick, Rosaline Eakon and Ebba Nakarak, Edward Nakarak Sr., Sarah Eben, and Andrew Nakarak; step daughter Connie Lucas and step son Timothy Lucas.
