Dennis Allen Tucker
Dennis Allen Tucker, 53, died June 28, 2022 at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
A family memorial service was held at Kehl’s Legacy Chapel.
Dennis was born May 18, 1969 in Seattle, WA to Mary and Erwin Tucker. The family moved to Anchorage in 1976. Dennis graduated from A.J. Dimond High School in 1987. He attended The Art Institute of Seattle in 1990. After graduation, he remained in Seattle, continuing his painting, while working in property management until moving to Sarasota, FL where he enjoyed life, with his work and his friends at Casa Blanca Vacation Rentals.
He could draw and paint brilliantly, creating commissioned wall murals and framed paintings, and his works he gave to us. We cherish them. Along with his art, his wit and humor gave joy and laughter to us all.
His strength of character was great, ever loyal and true to family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and grandson, who enriched us all.
When he left this earth, a piece of all of our hearts left with him. During his illness, his sisters Terre and Arianne were his great and constant support. His nephews and nieces, Justin, Kate, Olivia, Ryan, Kaylah, Josiah, Addison and Rowan provided great joy for their Uncle Denny.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Velma and Richard Sackett Sr., Joyce and Samuel Tucker Sr., Rosalie and Holger Jorgensen Sr., aunts Minnie Tucker, Joyce (Aver) Tucker, Violet Tucker, uncles Richard Sackett Jr., Holger Jorgensen Jr. and nephew Grayson Kimble.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Tucker, father Erwin and stepmother Tess Tucker, his brother Richard (Amber) Tucker, aunts Leslie Boehler, Karen Longley, Kathy Hodges (Mike), Roberta Scott, uncles Sam Tucker Jr., Noel (Debbie) Jorgensen, his life-long friend Vader, and many cousins. Two cousins, Arianne Herglotz (Hank) and Terre Kimble (Tom) were sisters to him and his brother.
Rest in Peace, Dennis. We love you.
