Charlie Jamin Katchatag
Charlie Jamin was born to Jay and Caroline Asicksik on November 9, 2005 in Anchorage, Alaska. He went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2017.
In the few years we were blessed to have him, he brought much joy and laughter. He was a sweet, charming and loving young boy with a little stubbornness. Not a day went by where he was not working on a project. He loved working with his hands, hunting and fishing. But of course, with his assistant AKA best friend, Chase Katchatag.
He loved to brag amongst his siblings and say, “Out of all my brothers and sisters I was the only one who was nice to you while you were pregnant with me, right Mom?” It was because his Mom had no health problems with Charlie.
Through the many friendships he had, he would manage to work his charm and have his buddies push him in their sled. On one of his duck hunting trips with his Dad, Butch and a couple others, the men shot and shot but didn’t catch anything. As Charlie watched he said, “Dad, they’re laughing at us.” He was a truly loved son, who shared his love with everyone. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his parents Jay and Caroline Asicksik; sisters Jaylene Katchatag and Raelene Auliye; brothers Louis Katchatag and Gavin Asicksik; paternal grandparents Eugene and Rhoda Asicksik and Percy Nakarak. Great grandparents William Sr. and Mabel Takak; maternal grandparents Clarence Jr. and Carrie Katchatag; aunties – Charlene and Crystal Katchatag, Hayley Asicksik; uncles Clyde Jackson, Roy Takak and Tyson Asicksik and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
