Butch Anseth

“Butch” Cortland Mark Anseth

May 6, 1947 – July 24, 2016

Butch Anseth passed away peacefully at the age of 69 in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 24, 2016.

Butch is survived by his wife Cynthia (Cindy) Anseth of Nome, children Darrel Beltz of Hawaii, Gail Beltz of Fairbanks, Teresa Reese and Christy Anseth of Anchorage, Tony Corta of Fairbanks, Traci Corta of Nome, and sister Tammy Schriller of Little Rock. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard Anseth and Helen Briesacher and niece Amber Schriller.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, Butch attended and graduated from Cornfine Electrical School.  He worked as an electrician until his retirement, including volunteering his electrical knowledge and help to his friends.

Butch loved taking care of his property in Dexter and shared the land and great views with all his and Cindy’s friends.  There were numerous BBQ’s and annual Raft Race parties held over many years.  Butch also spent countless hours as a proud bass player in the “Usual Suspects” band. 

After his retirement Butch and his wife relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas.

Services will be held at the Covenant Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 7 with a potluck immediately following.  Please bring a dish to share.  A wake will be held later that night at the Polar Bar at 9 p.m. with a slideshow and the Usual Suspects playing in his honor. Rest in Peace, Butch.
