New Arrivals: Sierra Linda Swanson and Charlotte Elvina Swanson

Charles and Heather Swanson of Koyuk are proud to announce the birth of their identical twin girls, Sierra Linda Swanson and Charlotte Elvina Swanson. The girls were born at Providence Alaska Medical Center on January 14, 2017. Sierra was born at 11:19 p.m., weighed 4 pounds 5 ounces and measured 17 inches in length. Charlotte was born at 11:23 p.m., weighed 4 pounds 10 ounces and measured 18 1/4 inches in length. Siblings are Xander, age 7, Zoey, age 5, and twins Faith and Hope, 12 years in memory. Maternal grandparents are Linda and Russell Boothe of Chandler, Arizona. Paternal grandparents are the late Oscar (Boo Boo) Swanson and Elvina and Tom Naranjo of Koyuk. Sierra and Charlotte were born two months early, on their late Granpa Boo Boo’s birthday. We like to think that he had a heavenly hand in helping the girls survive and thrive.
